Friends of Historic Rochester sponsored Town of Rochester History Day which took place on Saturday, May 13, with activities at both the Museum and Accord Fire House.

At the Museum — named for two of the original Friends who strongly promoted the establishment of a museum for the Town: Percy W. Gazlay II and Eleanor S. Rosakranse — the visitors obtained information on historic properties in our town, received genealogical consultation and help with research, and browsed through the local history materials, books, and postcards for sale.

At the Accord Fire House, antiques appraisals and selling of antiques and food raised money for the Museum.

Anyone is welcome as a member of Friends of Historic Rochester. Basic annual dues are $20 and include a subscription to The Accordian, the quarterly publication on local history.
