Global Traveler magazine's Annual GT Tested Awards Luncheon took place on January 16, 2008 at The Jumeirah Essex House in Manhattan. For the second year in a row Malev Hungarian Airlines was voted Best Airline in Eastern Europe, to the delight of Paul Aghadjanian, Sales Manager, Malev Hungarian Airlines; Manuela Marinesco, VP Media, Point Blank, Inc. (Malev's advertising agency, located in Kerhonkson), and Peter Gomori, Director, Hungarian National Tourist Office.
